Artist Background:

Van Sotraidis (pronounced Sa TRAY' dis) has performed at both the amateur and professional levels for over 30 years. This has included drumming in progressive rock, jazz and dance bands, orchestral percussion, analog and digital keyboards, and piano. Originally from Steubenville, Ohio, Van began writing music in the early 1980's after moving to St. Louis, Missouri. Since that time, Van has written over 400 original pieces of music.

Piano, drums, digital keyboards, Latin and chromatic percussion.

Powerful Instrumentals combining elements from a broad range of genres. Van's electrifying debut CD, Notes to a Friend, is a refreshing and truly eclectic mix of New Age, Progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion. It includes "Listen to Your Heart" which held the #1 position on the MP3.com Piano charts worldwide for three weeks, upon its release in April 1999. An independent artist, Van solely composed, arranged, performed, and engineered all material on his three pubished CDs, Notes to a Friend, Seven Shades of Morning, and Earthtones.
