About track #4 - Dancing in Avalon

Dancing in Avalon is a very unique piece and I feel that it is one of my best musical compositions among nearly 500 I have written so far.   This contemporary instrumental consists of three contiguous parts and is brought to life through a careful blending of electric and acoustic pianos.  Total playing time is 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

Part 1: The Journey (1:46) is performed on the Yamaha CP-80 electric piano.  This intro section features a pair of bright sounding CP-80 electric pianos.

Part 2: The Crossing (2:01)- electric and acoustic grand pianos.   The piece grows in complexity during this second part.  The CP-80s are joined by a concert acoustic grand.  I worked quite a bit on the delicate timing between the CP-80 electric pianos and the acoustic piano.

Part 3: Looking Back (1:53)- Yamaha acoustic grand piano.  This retrospective part is pure acoustic grand piano.  I feel that this part of Dancing in Avalon is one of my best efforts to date.

Dancing in Avalon is available for download at most major MP3 sites, including iTunes, Amazon, and CDBaby.   It has not been available online for about 5 years, so I'm very happy to make it available again!

I hope you enjoy this piece.

Here's a screen capture from MP3.com's Contemporary Instrumental charts with Dancing in Avalon at #1 worldwide.  This was among tens of thousands of songs in this genre.  Note that Sony recording artist Vanessa-Mae was holding the #2 and #3 spot at the time.  A track from Van's first CD was in the #4 position.  This was captured when Dancing in Avalon was first released.
